The notification, initially rolled out in September 2021, encompassed a substantial volume of 1,370 vacancies spanning Principal, Workshop Superintendent, Librarian, and multi-disciplinary Lecturer positions across core engineering, non-engineering, applied sciences, and emerging technological domains. Selected candidates step into key academic and administrative roles responsible for curriculum delivery, laboratory management, and institutional leadership within government technical training setups across Uttar Pradesh.
Over the multi-year timeline spanning preliminary screening, successive subject-specific written examinations held across December 2021, August 2023, and October 2024, and final result declarations concluding in August 2026, the commission carefully filtered candidates based on stringent academic benchmarks and competitive performance. The cadre demands rigorous technical competence, verified through discipline-specific engineering degrees, postgraduate qualifications, and mandatory national-level test clearances where applicable.
Examination Scheme, Cutoff Benchmarks & Selection Criteria
The selection architecture for the UPPSC Technical Education Teaching Service Exam was tailored to evaluate both pedagogical potential and deep technical expertise. Depending on the post category—ranging from Principal and Workshop Superintendent to specialized Lecturers in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, and Applied Sciences—the evaluation structure integrated academic credential screening with rigorous written examinations. The written tests challenged candidates on core domain knowledge, analytical capability, and applied technical proficiency.

- Category Certificates: SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and EWS certificates must adhere strictly to the prescribed state formats, with validity dates conforming to the recruitment notification guidelines.
- Identity & Registration Proofs: Keep multiple sets of self-attested photocopies of photo IDs, application registration slips, and admit cards used across the various exam dates from 2021 to 2024.
- Grievance Redressal: Any discrepancies in spelling, roll number mapping, or category assignment must be formally represented to the UPPSC Prayagraj headquarters through official channels before the final departmental handover of dossiers.
