The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi, has released the **Detailed Application Form I (DAF-I)** for candidates qualifying in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2026 for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Cadre. The portal for DAF-I submission remains operational from 13 July 2026 to 22 July 2026.
The Indian Forest Service is one of the three All India Services (alongside IAS and IPS). Selected candidates are appointed in Pay Level 10 (**Basic Pay ₹ 56,100 - ₹ 1,77,500**). Officers advance to Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Conservator of Forests (CF), and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF - Level 17 Basic ₹ 2,25,000).
