Apprenticeship Engagement: The Gateway to Permanent Public Service
Under the Apprentices Act 1961, central government establishments and heavy industrial PSUs engage tens of thousands of youth annually for structured practical skill training. Apprentices receive monthly stipends directly into bank accounts, comprehensive shop-floor training, and National Apprenticeship Certificates (NAC) awarded by the National Council for Vocational Training.

Crucially, selection for most apprenticeships (such as RRC Railway Apprentices) involves NO written examination and NO interview. Candidates are selected purely on an aggregate merit percentage calculated from their 10th standard marks and ITI trade scores. Completing apprenticeship confers preferential quotas in subsequent permanent hiring.
